About
These seascapes were taken on Molly's voyage along the equator, sailing her 33-foot sailboat from Northern Indonesia to Papa New Guinea. Encountering the ocean's many unpredictable moods, from tropical squalls intensified by cyclones to the south and typhoons to the north, to moments of remarkable calm between storms. Her work seeks to capture the ever changing relationship between light and water, while examining the enduring relationship between sailor and sea. They are a reflection on navigating a small vessel through an environment of immense scale, where respect, resilience, and constant readiness are essential.
